Independent- adj. not influenced or controlled by others in matters of opinion, conduct, etc.; thinking or acting for oneself
Love- noun. a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person.
Skills- noun. the ability, coming from one's knowledge, practice, aptitude, etc., to do something well

Those were the words I lived by after my mom told me this on my 16th birthday.

“you think your grown I’ll treat you like your grown, get out my house you have a car and that house I found and purchased a while ago it fully furnished here’s the keys.”

With that she left me outside with all my things. I had to become Independent, love myself, and use my skills to get what needed to be done. I’m just Harmony a 16 year old sophomore how am I supposed to maintain a household and take care of myself. She put me out for this man who she claims she loves her own flesh& blood, her child whom she carried for 9 months in her womb for this sorry ass excuse for a man. This is going to be a challenge I thought at first, until I learned to maintain
